Less than a year after the massive data breach at the South Carolina Department of Revenue revealed almost 4 million Social Security Numbers and over 3 million bank account numbers, the South Carolina Health Insurance Pool has begun notifying current and previous subscribers that their information has been leaked again.
Just like the state employee salaries I scraped and posted last week, today I’ve posted the local governments in the Midlands area version.
Each year The State newspaper submits FOIA requests to all state agencies and compiles a database containing salaries of all employees making at least $50,000. This data is then made freely available through a useable but fairly crappy little web interface provided by Caspio.
