A few months ago I had a rude surprise when I got up one morning… my several years old MacBook Pro was sitting at an angle. Upon inspection, the battery had peculiarly started to bulge out in the center. Over the proceeding several days it continued to bulge to the point that the battery didn’t work at all and my laptop was unusable with the battery installed due to the weird angle it perched at.

Several times leading up to the iPhone 3G launch, I checked AT&T’s coverage map to see where they offered 3G coverage. I knew there was no coverage in my immediate area (Greenville, SC), so I was looking forward to finding a job in Charlotte, NC where they had very good 3G coverage.
Well, I actually did it last night. In 7 to 10 days, my new MBP should ship, and 2 days after that, it should be in my gooey little hands. For those curious:
