Wow, I found a great guide to optimizing Virtual PC 2004 performance through Joel Ross tonight (whose blog I just pimped out in another article).

I have yet to actually try any of these optimizations, since I’m running Virtual Server 2005 right now and not just the standalone client, but they look like they should help considerably, particularly since the tips are straight out of a Microsoft Knowledge Base article!
